By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
You must create an account to access key features of the platform, including downloading routes and uploading GPX files.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
This platform is intended for users aged 16 and over. Users under 16 may not register or use the service.
This Is Not A Bike Race provides curated cycling routes created by the platform. Users download these routes, ride them independently, and upload a GPX file of their completed effort.
Uploaded GPX files may include time data. These submissions are used to generate rankings based on performance times.
While the platform includes timing and rankings, it is not a race or organised event. Participation is informal, self-paced, and entirely at your own risk.
By uploading a GPX file, you confirm that you have the right to share that data and that it reflects your own activity.
You grant This Is Not A Bike Race a licence to store, process, display, and analyse your uploaded GPX data for the purpose of operating the platform, including rankings and route validation.
All routes provided on this platform remain the property of This Is Not A Bike Race.
Routes must not be copied, redistributed, shared, embedded, or reposted in any form outside the platform.
Printing GPX files or exporting routes for redistribution is not permitted.
Routes may be used for personal navigation purposes, including uploading to third-party devices or cycling head units to enable accurate riding.
Routes must always be accessed directly through the platform.
You agree not to misuse the platform, including attempting to copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the service or its data.
You must not use the platform in a way that is unlawful, unsafe, or intended to manipulate rankings or results.
You are solely responsible for your safety while riding any route. This includes using appropriate equipment, ensuring your bike is in good condition, and following all traffic laws and local regulations.
Route conditions may change, and it is your responsibility to make your own safety decisions at all times.
We may update, change, or remove routes, features, or parts of the platform at any time without notice.
Access to the platform may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at our discretion, including in cases of misuse, abuse, or breach of these terms.
In serious cases, accounts may be permanently banned.
By using the platform, you agree that we may store and process your data, including GPX files and associated metadata, to operate the service.
All data is stored securely within Microsoft UK-based infrastructure.
The platform is currently free to use. Future paid features or subscription tiers may be introduced, but no commitments are made at this time.
All content on This Is Not A Bike Race, including routes, branding, design, and platform functionality, is owned by the platform unless otherwise stated.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
This platform is built around personal challenge, exploration, and riding for enjoyment. It is not designed for competitive racing in the formal sense.
